Thirty years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament, Johnny Lawrence’s life has taken a rocky turn as he tries to forget a past that constantly haunts him. He seeks redemption by reopening the infamous Cobra Kai karate dojo, but the LaRusso-Lawrence rivalry of the past is reignited when their lives become intertwined with the next generation of “karate kids.”

Present day Daniel LaRusso lives a charmed life. That is, until he sees that the Cobra Kai dojo, the source of his teenage angst and rivalry, has been reestablished by Johnny Lawrence. Struggling to launch the business, Johnny starts teaching karate to his teenage neighbor Miguel. Daniel LaRusso then faces his former opponent Johnny Lawrence and old rivalries are quickly reignited.

Melissa Marie Benoist (born on October 4, 1988) is an American actress and singer. Melissa Benoist is best known for her portrayal of the title character, Kara Zor-El, in the CBS and CW superhero drama series Supergirl.

Melissa Benoist rose to prominence for her portrayal of Marley Rose on the fourth and fifth seasons of the Fox musical comedy-drama television series Glee, and has appeared in a number of television series including Homeland, The Good Wife, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Melissa Benoist has also appeared in films such as Danny Collins, The Longest Ride, and the Oscar winning 2014 film Whiplash.

Above: Cheers is an American sitcom that ran for eleven seasons between 1982 and 1993. The show is set in a bar named Cheers (named after the popular toast) in Boston, Massachusetts, where a group of locals meet to drink, relax, and socialize.

The show’s main theme song, written and performed by Gary Portnoy, and co-written with Judy Hart Angelo, lent its famous refrain “Where Everybody Knows Your Name” as the show’s tagline. Cheers is a half hour comedy series that won 28 Emmy Awards centering on the colorful characters who frequent a Boston bar owned by a former Red Sox pitcher.
