Lily Monica Donaldson is a British model. Lily Donaldson was born in London, and educated at the Camden School for Girls living in Kentish Town with her parents. Since being scouted at the age of 16 while shopping in Camden, Lily Donaldson has landed campaigns for fashion houses such as Dior, Jil Sander, and Dolce & Gabbana, and is the face of British luxury goods house Burberry.

In the May 2007 issue of American Vogue, she was featured on the cover with fellow models Doutzen Kroes, Caroline Trentini, Raquel Zimmermann, Coco Rocha, Hilary Rhoda, Chanel Iman, and Jessica Stam as the new crop of supermodels. Later, in the September 2007 issue of British Vogue she was named a “Head Girl”, a model to watch out for in the upcoming season. In 2008 a top casting agent who is responsible for selecting which models are to score a spot on top runways, says in regards to Lily Donaldson:

“One of the most expensive looking girls, yet a frail beauty at the same time. Beautiful skin, baby eyes, and pouty lips. A real English rose, but there’s a sexpot underneath all of that waiting to be unleashed. She’s also more guarded than the other girls, which throws people off, but it makes me super gushy and nervous like a schoolboy. I could totally see her married to a rock star!”

Lily Donaldson has appeared on the covers of Vogue for Britain, Italy, China, and Australia. In particular, she was on the March 2009 covers of Vogue simultaneously in the United Kingdom, Australia, and Italy. She also appeared in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2010. In 2009, French Vogue declared her one of the top 30 models from the years 2000 to 2009. Lily Donaldson is also the face of the new Monsoon Accessorize campaign for Spring Summer 2011. Haute couture is made to order for a specific customer, and it is usually made from high quality, expensive fabric and sewn with extreme attention to detail and finished by the most experienced and capable seamstresses, often using time consuming, hand executed techniques. Couture is a common abbreviation of haute couture and refers to the same thing in spirit.

In modern France, haute couture is a “protected name” that can be used only by firms that meet certain well defined standards. However, the term is also used loosely to describe all high fashion custom fitted clothing, whether it is produced in Paris or in other fashion capitals such as Milan, London, New York, Sao Paulo, and Tokyo.

Many top designer fashion houses, such as Chanel, use the word “Haute Couture” for some of their special collections. These collections are often not for sale or they are very difficult to purchase.

Maria Izabel Goulart Dourado, better known as Izabel Goulart, is a Brazilian supermodel. She is best known as one of the Victoria’s Secret Angels and for her work with Armani Exchange.

Izabel Goulart was born in Sao Carlos, Sao Paulo, Brazil. She is of Italian descent and has several brothers and one sister. Izabel Goulart once said “the hardest part about being an Angel is I spend time away from my mom’s food and away from my home with my brothers and sister.” According to sources, school was a particularly rough time for Izabel Goulart, as she was made fun of for her skinny build. Little did they realize that she would eventually become a Victoria’s Secret supermodel earning millions of United States dollars.

The moment that changed her life came while shopping for groceries with her mother at the age of 14 when a hairstylist suggested that she should become a model. She soon moved to the state’s capital Sao Paulo and started modeling. The rest is history.

Modeling Career

During one of Izabel Goulart’s first ever fashion show appearances, she experienced a wardrobe malfunction when her top fell open. The unfortunate incident made many Brazilian newspapers and remains her most embarrassing moment. She was able to put her rocky start behind her and returned to the runway to model collections for A-list designers such as Bill Blass, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, Chanel, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, and Stella McCartney, among many others. Izabel Goulart has also modeled for H&M, Express, and Neiman Marcus.

Izabel Goulart first appeared in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2005, the year she was contracted as a Victoria’s Secret Angel. Izabel Goulart also walked in the 2008, 2009 and 2010 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Runway Shows. She has shot for top photographers such as Terry Richardson, David Sims, Greg Kadel, and Vincent Peters for such publications as French and Japanese Vogue, French magazine, and Numero. Izabel Goulart was also seen in the fall 2009 H&M campaign. In 2011, Izabel Goulart appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

Izabel Goulart, whose brother has type 1 diabetes, does charitable work helping hospitals in her native Brazil to raise money to provide free insulin for diabetic children in need. She also has taken an active role with the Diabetes Research Institute (DRI) at the University of Miami, a recognized leader in cure-focused research.

Finally, Izabel Goulart appeared in an episode of Two And A Half Men and has also made a guest appearance in the thirteenth episode of season 3 of Entourage alongside fellow Angel Alessandra Ambrosio.

Go backstage at Michael Kors Fall 2010 with makeup artist Dick Page and hair stylist Orlando Pita. Michael Kors is an American fashion designer. He is best known for designing classic American sportswear for women. Michael Kors began his career in fashion at the age of 19, designing and merchandising a collection for the renowned boutique Lothar’s in New York city. The success of these clothes caught the attention of the fashion press, prompting Michael Kors to strike out on his own. In 1981 The Michael Kors label was formed. Since his collection was established, it has never strayed from Kors’ intial vision of chic, luxurious American sportswear.

Michael Kors began designing clothes at the age of 19 and studied fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. In 1981, Michael Kors launched the Michael Kors womens wear line at Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, and Saks Fifth Avenue. Building on his success, Kors was named the first ever women’s ready-to-wear designer and creative director for the French fashion house Celine in 1997. In his tenure at Celine, Michael Kors turned the fashion house around with blockbuster accessories and a critically acclaimed ready-to-wear line. In 2001, Michael Kors launched accessories under his collection LABEL. Today, the line includes a full range of women’s handbags, shoes, belts, and eyewear. Michael Kors left Celine in October 2003 to concentrate on his own brand. Michael Kors launched his mens wear line in 2002.

In addition to the Michael Kors runway collection, the MICHAEL Michael Kors and KORS Michael Kors lines were launched in 2004. KORS is considered the mid-tier line, between the runway and MICHAEL collections. The MICHAEL line includes women’s handbags and shoes as well as women’s ready-to-wear apparel. The KORS line contains footwear and Jeans. Currently, Kors has full collection boutiques in New York, Beverly Hills, Palm Beach, Chicago, London, and Milan.

Among the celebrities who have worn Michael Kors’ designs are Jennifer Lopez, Natalie Portman, supermodel Heidi Klum and Catherine Zeta-Jones. As Creative Director of Celine, Michael Kors designed many outfits for actresses to wear on screen. Gwyneth Paltrow wore Kors’ designs in the movie Possession. In addition, Michael Kors outfitted Rene Russo’s character in the 1999 hit remake of The Thomas Crown Affair. The advertising campaigns for Michael Kors often reflects the jet-set sportswear that Kors fans are fond of and enjoy. Previous campaigns include model Carmen Kass on the tarmac of an airport, on a safari in Africa, and relaxing on a multi-million dollar yacht for the super rich.

Michael Kors has also been a judge on the Emmy-nominated reality television program Project Runway.
