Gal Gadot – Mini Biography
Gal Gadot is an Israeli actress and fashion model. Gal Gadot was born in Rosh Ha’Ayin, Israel, to a Jewish family (from Poland, Austria, Germany, and Czechoslovakia). Gal Gadot served in the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) for two years, and won the Miss Israel title in 2004.
Gal Gadot began modeling in the late 2000’s, and made her movie debut in the fourth film of the Fast and Furious franchise, Fast & Furious (2009), as Gisele. Gal Gadot’s role was expanded in the sequels Fast Five (2011) and Fast & Furious 6 (2013), in which her character was romantically linked to Han Seoul-Oh (Sung Kang). In the films, Gal Gadot performed her own stunts. Gal Gadot also appeared in the 2010 films Date Night (2010) and Knight and Day (2010).
In early December 2013, Gal Gadot was cast as Wonder Woman in the superhero movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), and filming began in 2014 for a March 2016 release. The film is part of the DC Extended Universe, and Gal Gadot will play the role again in the solo film Wonder Woman (2017) and the superhero movie Justice League (2017). Gal Gadot received swordsmanship, Kung Fu, kickboxing, Capoeira, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training in preparation for her role as Wonder Woman. When Gal Gadot was 20 years old she served for two years as an enlisted soldier in the Israel Defense Forces. There, Gal Gadot started excelling in a grueling three month boot camp that prepared her to serve as a combat trainer. Gal Gadot has said of her time in the army: “You give two or three years, and it’s not about you. You give your freedom away for a while. You learn discipline and respect. The things I’ve been through as a soldier prepared me to deal with career things as well”.
Gal Gadot: Acting And Modeling Career
Gal Gadot won the 2004 Miss Israel competition when she was 18 years old, and next competed in the 2004 Miss Universe pageant in Ecuador South America. Following her participation in the competitions, she joined the Israeli Army where, as a citizen of Israel, she completed her two years of mandatory military service.
After leaving the army, Gal Gadot studied law. It was when she had completed her first year of school that a casting director called her to audition for the part of Bond girl Camille Montes in the James Bond film Quantum of Solace. Although Gal Gadot lost the part to actress Olga Kurylenko, the same casting director hired Gal Gadot for the role of Gisele in the Fast & Furious movies. Gal Gadot married Israeli real estate developer Yaron Varsano on September 28, 2008. The couple owned a luxury hotel in the Neve Tzedek district of Tel Aviv, which it is believed that they sold to Roman Abramovich in 2015 for $26 million. The couple has a daughter who was born in 2011.

Superman III is a British-American 1983 superhero film directed by Richard Lester, based on the DC Comics character Superman.
